Arcane Lands

This is a mobile video game I am building independently as a passion project. Through it, I have learned how to apply

Design Patterns

Patterns used:

- Factory Pattern

- Strategy Pattern

- Observer Pattern

- Composite

Concepts:

- Delegates

- Frameworks

- Lazy Instantiation
- Virtuals, Interfaces

Fun Stuff:

- Shaders~~

Lautriv-Max VR Studio & Lab

Lautriv-Max is a Social Virtual Reality start-up

I initiated as CTO with 2 other colleages.

In it, I developed:

- Reservation System

- VR Spin The Wheel

- Automated data logging

- Mentored tech team

This project includes work on:

- Front-end websites

- Microservices

- Database management

- VR game development

Unify Mobile Application
Unify Mobile Application

This is a project that I manage with 3 other friends.

Currently, my university, HKUST, lacks a platform for student-organized events to be advertised to. Thus, we develop a mobile platform for students to find exciting activities to join and to invite others as well!

This project includes work on:

- Recommender Systems

- Database management

- UI Development

This project is developed on React Native.

PixFil

This is a project to create a smart software system that can filter images based on users' needs. As a photographer, I believe browsing photos should be an enjoyable experience, thus I hope to use intuitive measures to acquire the best photos from a directory.

This project focuses on filtering image by: blur, color, presence of faces, bodies, smiles, etc.

Java²

This is a future business plan to launch a series of fruit shakes and healthy milkshakes in Canada. A special long-term game concept related to Tree Planet will be implemented regarding the market penetration plan.

The project implements Computer Vision to recognize characters on designed cups, which then produces an augmented reality message and animation.

Baron's Executive Recruiting AI Consultation Project
Baron's Executive Recruiting AI Consultation Project

This project was done in a course as a competition to give the best consultative advice to Barons & Company for implementation of AI & other technology into their business processes. Judges were from Barons & Company, HKUST, IBM, and Harman.

Through this project, I demonstrated my diligence and perseverance and was voted MVP of my team. We won 1-st runner-up and was named "most innovative".

Image-based Structral Analysis
Image-based Structural Analysis

This project aims to develop a Computer Vision application using Convolutional Neural Networks to extract information from a hand-drawn Civil Engineering problem and solve for the structure's response.

The following are a few results using Keras and Tensorflow

(Currently Private)

Cenralized Traffic
Centralized Traffic

This project aims to simulate a centralized traffic intersection system which will command cars to decelerate as necessary to avoid collisions such as in Autonomous Intersection Management (AIM).

Water Supply Shortage in California

As a Civil Engineering project, I worked with a team to investigate the factors affecting water supply shortage in California and proposed solutions.

Through our efforts in research and presentation, we were awarded with the Best Poster Design & Presentation Award.

Talents & Interests Network
Talents & Interests Network

The TI-Network is a project I co-founded and led with some inspired individuals.

Our aim is to provide a platform for HKUST students (especially freshmen) to acquire new skills, and at the same time build their confidence
by encouraging them to share their own talents and interests. Our team was awarded the President's 1-HKUST Student Life Award.

Arduino Quadcopter
Arduino Quadcopter

This is a project to build an Arduino quadcopter, following tutorials by Joop Brokking. Through this project, I was able to explore robotics, programming, and individual research.

IDEERS HKUST 2017
IDEERS HKUST 2017

The Introducing & Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS) competition was held in HKUST.

Through perseverance in research and testing our tower models, we were able to emerge as the Champion of the competition.

Programs
Programs

I really enjoy programming in C++, Excel VBA, and Python.

I persevere to make the programs universal, user-friendly, and helpful!

Here are some of my works.
